Del Norte County is addressing the limited availability of substance use treatment within the jail by enhancing jail-based treatment, improving case management, and developing comprehensive reentry programs. The team is also allocating funds toward increasing access to naloxone by deploying vending machines and launching an extensive educational awareness campaign. Finally, the team is planning to secure a project coordinator who will play a pivotal role in organizing and facilitating a day-long seminar/training session and facilitating cross-sector collaboration.
