Oneida County is supporting the Camden Life Center in Camden, New York, through the addition of a part-time intensive case manager (ICM) and program coordinator. The ICM actively participates in the five town courts within Western Oneida County, providing outreach, intake assessments, and intensive case management services to assist justice-involved individuals in engaging in care. The ICM works directly with the Oneida County Forensic Evaluation Unit to offer an alternative-to-incarceration program for adults who are involved in the criminal justice system and are struggling with mental illness, chemical dependency, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or other behavioral health challenges. In addition, the program coordinator ensures coordination of cross-sector partnerships and program growth and sustainability, including agency coordination, grant writing, and staff supervision.
